Painter VA was born out of necessity. Running a painting company, we found ourselves drowning in admin work — chasing cold leads, rescheduling crews, updating CRMs, and dealing with endless follow-ups.

The solution? Dedicated virtual assistants. But here’s the problem: generic VA agencies just hand you a random assistant and leave you to figure it out. Contractors don’t have time for that.

So we built Painter VA: a service that recruits, trains, and manages VAs specifically for painting contractors.

How It Started

I’m Cameron Maltby, owner of PB Painting of San Diego, a seven-figure residential and commercial painting company.

Like most contractors, I used to do it all — sales, scheduling, bookkeeping, client updates, marketing — and it felt impossible to keep up. The problem wasn’t getting work; it was finding time to run the business and grow it.

That’s when I hired my first virtual assistant, Santiago from Colombia. He took on project coordination, and everything started to change.

Building the System

After Santiago came Marge, from the Philippines, who managed CRM follow-ups and kept leads organized.
Then Ren joined to handle social media and subcontractor vetting, keeping our brand active and our production team sharp.
Next, Kevin came onboard for commercial outreach — now consistently bringing in around $20,000 a month in new commercial projects.
Finally, Jarex took over bookkeeping, ensuring every job stayed profitable and every dollar accounted for.

Together, they turned PB Painting into a smooth-running operation that works even when I’m not in the field.

The Breakthrough

That team became the blueprint for Painter VA.

I realized every contractor could scale faster, stress less, and finally get out of the day-to-day grind with the right remote team behind them.
